  1. You wouldn’t show up to a play without having rehearsed – Rehearse your CV and questions
  2. If you apply for a job , be ready for phone calls and be professional
  3. Make sure you learn your CV – Be the person you said you are
  4. Think of questions you could be asked and practise your answers
  5. Confirm your location – Plan you route to the interview
  6. Check your social medias
  7. Be individual but make sure your smart, clean and professional
  8. Make sure you have documents you need before interview – ID, Proof of right to work etc
  9. Arrive on time – punctual
  10. Communication – speak clearly, politely and be friendly
  11. Body language – Good posture, maintain eye contact

CAR method

Had to have music that wasn’t copyrighted and suited the tone of my title sequence.

Successfully had a soundtrack on my project that suited what I wanted with no copyright issues attached.

What is an interview

Digital online interviews

  1. Dress smartly
  2. Choose good place – Make sure your background is appropriate
  3. Keep eye contact
  4. Have pen and paper nearby to make notes
  5. Check you equipment is fully working beforehand
  6. Have link to your portfolio ready
  7. Make sure everyone in the house knows of your interview and its kept quiet
  8. Research the organisation – Make sure they know you’ve gone through the trouble

After the interview

  1. Take time to reflect
  2. Write down questions they asked and how to answer differently
  3. Think about what went well and what went better
  4. Ask for feedback
  5. If you’re unsuccessful – remember its a learning outcome
